This is the reason why.
Why girls take the fall And the boys they don't know at all What we go through How they leave us feeling blue A darker shade than pale This heart is stale These thoughts are screwed This is the reason why. Why girls take the chance And the boys don't even give a damn About the way we think Think the world of you and all your sorry little mistakes We give and you don't take. Guess we're going in circles over the possibilities That someday, someday Them boys would understand us girls. Take our love and give theirs in return Afterall, ladies and gentlemen, we're all human afterall. cassiegoh blog-hopped to cassie's blog.came across this...haha. uber cool...

hello loves...
i've been feeling sick for the past 3 days already.at first it was my throat.the next day,my whole body was aching.especially my shoulders.and then the following day,i was having a flu.my body's still feeling abit warm right now but im okay alhamdulillah(: and yes of course i cant taste anything or smell anything.oh yes i sound so sengau.like very nasal-ly(i think that's how you spell it.heh)...lol!but that didnt stop me from going out yesterday.well,it wasnt really 'going out' lah.i went out with tasha and germaine to study.helped them with their chem and bio coz they'd be having a test the next day.it's been a while since i last touched my chem and bio.haha...so it was kinda odd for me,trying to recall the stuffs i learned.heh.but it was okaylah.and yes, marine parade library has quite a conducive environment for studying.they have lots of studying 'corners',tables, chairs etc.considering it was a sunday,i was kinda surprised actually by the number of ppl who turned up at the library just to study.we cudnt find a place to sit down at the adults' section and so we ended up at the CHILDRENS' SECTION.haha...it was a very low table with 5 small chairs.lol.but our butts fitted nicely on the chairs(oh thank goodness!).it looked like we were squatting but it was rather comfy lah.heh.then this young boy who came with his mum n siblings to the library to do their hw,walked up to me and said... boy:kak, can u help me with this maths qn. pls? me:*looks shocked and stares blankly at boy for a moment then snaps out of it*okay sure(: boy:*stares at me while i figure out the answer* me:erm...u sit first lah.later kakak call u when im done okay? boy:okay kak.*boy walks away* i tell you...i think that was the first time i did a math qn. after my O's.lmao!i lost my touch lah.lol.i managed to answer the problem sum and then walked to the boy's table.he was with his mum so i was quite intimidated lah.but she was a very sweet lady(: then i said... me:adik, kakak da dapat answer.(which means "i've got the answer.") boy's mum:oh okay.can u pls explain? me:sure2. and so i explained how i did it lah.haha...then the lady thanked me(: heh.it was a very nice feeling.i love seeing mums getting involved and helping their children with schoolwork.hats off to these mums(: i'd love to be like them when i become a mum someday.hmm...insyaallah.and yes of course like my mum and my grandma.heh(: i really respect women.of course i do!haha. so yeah...i've been doing alot of self-reflection lately and i find that im a much better person than i was a week ago.i think...heh.alhamdulillah...most importantly my mind's at peace right now. and im still fighting this bad throat and flu.but it's getting better... oh.tmr's TUESDAY. ohwells... in the words of the talented J.T,"what goes around comes around..." get up and go shake'yer tailfeathers people! lovelove, Liyana<3

oh yes.and i took the time to do some research about THE microwave oven.LOL.i've got SO much free time lah ppl.i'd rather put it to good use right?heh.credits to WIKIPEDIA.pls do read(:
Uses: "A microwave oven works by passing microwave radiation, usually at a frequency of 2450 MHz (a wavelength of 12.24 cm), through the food. Water, fat, and sugar molecules in the food absorb energy from the microwave beam in a process called dielectric heating. Many molecules (such as those of water) are electric dipoles, meaning that they have a positive charge at one end and a negative charge at the other, and therefore rotate as they try to align themselves with the alternating electric field induced by the microwave beam. This molecular movement creates heat as the rotating molecules hit other molecules and put them into motion. Microwave heating is most efficient on liquid water, and much less so on fats and sugars (which have less molecular dipole moment), and frozen water (where the molecules are not free to rotate). Microwave heating is sometimes incorrectly explained as a rotational resonance of water molecules: such resonance only occurs at much higher frequencies, in the tens of gigahertz. Moreover, large industrial/commercial microwave ovens operating in the 900 MHz range also heat water and food perfectly well. A common misconception is that microwave ovens cook food from the "inside out". In reality, microwaves are absorbed in the outer layers of food in a manner somewhat similar to heat from other methods. The misconception arises because microwaves penetrate dry nonconductive substances at the surfaces of many common foods, and thus often deposit initial heat more deeply than other methods. Depending on water content the depth of initial heat deposition may be several centimeters or more with microwave ovens, in contrast to grilling ("broiling" in American English), which relies on infrared radiation, or convection heating, which deposit heat shallowly at the food surface. Depth of penetration of microwaves is dependent on food composition and the frequency, with lower microwave frequencies being more penetrating." my 7yr old sister has been singing Rocksteady since she got back from school.hah. cuteness...
linkylinky:http://www.niehs.nih.gov/kids/illusion/illusions.htm#index
i just discovered an interesting website. OPTICAL ILLUSIONS it's like super duper cool!go check it out(:
(:
As soon as i woke up this morning,i started to think about that question i asked ytdae.abt how the microwave works.heh...
im not so sure abt this, but i've heard that the micro waves or i shall say, radiation, from inside the appliance, makes the molecules in the food u are heating go bonkers.and so they collide and vibrate vigorously, causing heat to be produced in the collision.and voila, the food is heated!super cool right?i think i came across the answer while watching Oprah some time back...so u see people...as i've said earlier...WATCH OPRAH!LOL. but i still dont know why we're not suppose to look inside the microwave oven when it's heating sth..?????can someone help me answer that pls?heh. oh yes!came across some interesting facts when i was reading the papers ytdae.enjoy... 1.It is estimated that we speak an average of 5 000 words a day,but almost 80% of it are conversations with ourselves. 2.In the time span of 150 years, the average height of a person from industrialised nations have increased by an average of 10cm/4 inches. 3.The average number of breaths we take in a day is 23 000. 4.If the percentage of water in our body decreases only by 1%, we would already feel thirsty. 5.Man can live without food for a month, but only a week without water. credits:Berita Harian,Wed,21 Feb 2007 just curious...have you ever heard of a "sleep erection test"? wanna know more,go read the papers(: and if you people think im being horny.i am SO NOT!haha.it's really interesting...general knowledge lah sayangs. "Men aged 45years and above, may have expeienced erectile disfunction(ED).Malay men are the 2nd largest group to be at risk of ED,followed by Chinese men.Indian men face the worst problems of ED.This was the result of a study carried out by Changi General Hospital and the Association of Men's Health in Singapore..." i've tried my best to translate from Malay to English and come as close as possible to the exact meaning.if it doesnt make sense to you then im sorry eh..heh. oh wells, gtg now. turrah(: It used to feel like heaven, it used to feel like May. I used to hear those violins playing heart strings like a symphony, now they're gone away.

argh.
i just woke up not because of my alarm clock...but because of this super-duper irritating buzzing sound!it didnt happen once.and i didnt even happen thrice.it was like 5times!freaking hell i tell you.haha.i guess im not really a heavy sleeper but by that time im usually up already.i was freaked out i tell you!lol.you know what i did as soon as i heard the buzzing?i covered my ears and my body with the pillow and blanket.only my face could be seen...then i kept my eyes open for awhile and the buzzing went away.BUT THEN it came again!when i opened my eyes i saw this big black blood-sucking bug, buzzing right in front of my face!woah what a way to start my morning.heh.. i thought the thing went away already coz there was no chance for it to suck my blood...on the count of my blanket was covering 3/4 of my face and only my eyes could be seen.funnnny!it buzzed and buzzed again until i finally gave up and went to the bathroom.after i did my business eh,while washing my hands, guess what i saw??!THAT FREAKING INSECT AGAIN!haha.you might be thinking "what could a small bug like that do to you?"well..think about it people..the WORST thing that could ever happen was for the bug to fly right into your ears or EVEN worst, your NOSE,and then do God-knows-what inside.urgh...so you should understand why i was so freaked out.hah!
insya-allah i'll blog again later...this is just a starter(: till then peeps... you won't know what might be coming your way...mwahahaha! p.s:gotta catch Dreamgirls soon!(: turrah!

hello
alhamdulillah for my results.
i have to say im quite pleased with it. yes my parents are happy too(: and it means THE WORLD to me. to all my gfs and friends,i am DARN proud of all of you(: and to those who didnt make it or didnt quite get what you expected, dont fret.keep your chin up.. let's just see what the future holds okay friends? lastly,i cant believe im done with my secondary school days!haha.so congrats guys!we made it!(: but i'll definitely miss it.heh. anyways,i was observing my two sisters role-play.. they were doing this "THE ARENA"-like thingy.my younger sister was like rambling on and on about being friends with farmers and their animals.she even said sth like "friends forever" and i was trying to control my hysterical laughter!uber cute lah..and and she did those hand gestures that debaters do.you know..the clenched fists and the pointing of the finger.lmao.gosh she's adorable!haha.the best part is,SHE WASN'T EVEN MAKING ANY SENSE!!like how cute was that?i mean...seriously people! anyhoos, you learn alot from watching Oprah.seriously!she had this show on "AMERICA'S DEBT DIET".and she said that the majority(i forgot the percentage lah) of Americans live from paycheck to paycheck.they're suffering from serious debts that even amounts to US$2oo ooo.most of it comes from living a lie, like buying a huge house they cant really afford, indulging at expensive restaurants and designer goods even though they've no money.the thing that's sucking them deeper into the hole are credit cards, debit cards and whatever cards lah. top financial advisers in America are helping 3 selected families get out of their debts. oh and one of them was quoted saying sth interesting..."research shows that in order to make sth a habit, you have to do it 21 times."haha.i didnt know that! so yess.the moral of the story is...watch Oprah.you dont know what you might learn.HAHS! till then people... love each other or perish. lovelove, Liyana(:

i really need to take the chill pill...
we're only like a few hours away from the release of THE results.
thing's have been hectic lately.worrying...very worrying. but only time will tell right?mmhmm.. anyways,i watched Oprah yesterday and Dr Robin, this psychologist lady who appears on her talkshows most of the time, said something interesting.she said "...those who gossip, those who smoke, those with eating disorders, those who bully...they all have one thing in common and that's self-hatred." she said these people channel their emotions to something else,be it positively or negatively.it's like their emotions manifest into something abusive or hurtful to themselves or to other people. deep huh?i know...(: oh yes!i watched American Idol too.it tickles me everytime Randy says this:"Yer goin'ta haleewood baybee!yeayyeah!" gosh.he does that every single time the person get's through.it's either that or "welcoma ta haleewood dawg/baybee!!"uber cute laa.haha..all the best for the idol hopefuls(: oh wells,i need some time to clear my mind and prepare myself mentally for the results later. so ALL THE BEST FOR ALL THE PRETTY PEOPLE OUT THERE GETTING THEIR RESULTS.let's hope for the best okay? hmm..insya-allah. toodles(:

this is how a heart breaks
i came across sth while reading this great book by Cecilia Ahern,If You Could See Me Now.go grab it!it's worth your time reading...she wrote sth that i THINK was the almost-absolutely-right description of how a heart breaks.super cool lah.it's long but i'll just share it..
"When u drop a glass or a plate to the ground it makes a loud crashing sound. When a window shatters,a table leg breaks,or when a picture falls off the wall it makes a noise. But as for your heart, when that breaks,it's completely silent. You would think as it's so important it would make the loudest noise in the whole world,or even have some sort of ceremonious sound like the gong of a cymbal or the ringing of a bell. But it's silent and you almost wish there was a noise to distract u from the pain.If there is a noise,it's internal. It screams and no one can hear it but you.It screams so loud your ears ring and your head aches. It thrashes around in your chest like a great white shark caught in the sea;it roars like a mother bear whose cub has been taken. That's what it looks like and that's what it sounds like,a thrashing, panicking, trapped great big beast, roaring like a prisoner to it's own emotions. But that's the thing about love-no one is untouchable. It's as wild as that,as raw as an open flesh wound exposed to salty sea water, but when it actually breaks,it's silent. You're just screaming on the inside and no one can hear it." beautiful... tc loves(: |
